Armani Code Profumo

Every morning when I'm getting ready, I only feel completely ready to take on the world once I have spritzed my chosen scent on my neck and wrists. I then feel like I'm ready to leave the house. If I leave without a fragrance, I literally feel naked all day long!  We all have our go to fave scents, and today I'm going to tell you all about a new edition to my ever expanding collection of aftershaves...

Armani Code Ice has been a favourite of mine for years, it's one I used to wear and takes me back to my college days. Recently, I got my hands on their brand new edition, Armani Code Profumo*.

Profumo is an explosive new scent that exudes power and masculinity. The packaging is gorgeous, with its rose gold/copper lid and tinted warped glass body, representing the black of night.  You can feel the quality and stability within the design, embracing its addictive, powerful and magnetic scent.

I find that Armani Code Profumo is very reminiscent of 1 Million and Le Male; two stalwarts in my fragrance arsenal. But Profumo has top notes of mandarin, green apple and cardamom; a heart of orange blossom, lavender and nutmeg with a base of tonka bean, amber and leather.

Profumo is a sweet yet dark, fruity and musky fragrance. With its traditional aroma of the tonka bean, the use of cardamom and woody amber has intensified this fragrance, putting it in a whole other dimension. Profumo is a very intoxicating and compelling scent, which resembles evening attire, charm and seduction. The perfect evening/event fragrance. One spray will last you all day as it’s made of 20% essential oils!

Profumo is perfect for any occasion, formal dining or an evening with friends. If you're a fan of a spicy, woody and aromatic fragrance then this one is for you!

Armani Code Profumo is available online here at Boots, John Lewis and Fragrance Direct.

Mulberry Card Wallet

For many a man the subsequent perpetual dilemma applies: how should we carry our hard earned dollar While the traditional wallet is a sound option, from experience a wallet tends to become bulky – with receipts from 2 years ago and a whole load of crap I just don’t need to lug around!

Let’s pause to understand what it is I’m hoping to achieve. For me the objective has been simple: to find something that fuses function with design. Ideally the result is sleek and luxurious– a quality piece that is carefully thoughtful in both its construction and purpose.

The solution? The unassuming efficiency of the Mulberry Card Wallet, which, I’ll have you know, has been constantly proving itself useful (and not only for its ability to slip into the tightest of pockets).

The Mulberry Card Wallet is a slim, streamlined and more supple take on the classic wallet, with cards slots and a note sleeve, crafted from beautiful buttery-soft leather. This was the ideal wallet for me –a compact wallet but with just the right amount space for all my necessities i.e. cards and cash.

This Mulberry cardholder offers luxury while simultaneously offering discretion, craftsmanship, and room for five credit cards (and speaking from experience, four credit cards and solid wad of cash! )

An alternative to the Mulberry is the ASOS Leather Cardholder In Brown. It is super compact – 3 cards & cash will fit snuggly inside and it’s crafted from genuine leather.

You don’t want to ruin the aesthetics of your scrupulously put together outfit with bulging pockets.
The classic wallet has had its day but the era of the cardholder has dawned.

The Mulberry Card Wallet is available online at Mulberry and Mr Porter. You can find the ASOS Leather Cardholder here.
